Bulbophyllum macraei

Scientific name:Bulbophyllum macraei

Located in Taiwan, Japan, Sri Lanka and India, an evergreen perennial plant grown on tree trunks. Plant size is about 15~25 centimeters. Pseudo-bulb is oval, 1~2.5 centimeters high, the top grows one leaf. Leaves are oval, leathery, glossy, about 10~18 centimeters long, 3~6 centimeters wide, at the bottom there is a short handle. Scape is slender, usually slowly drooping, about 10~20 centimeters long, the top has 2 to 6 flowers growing in a scattered form. Color is yellow-white ~ yellow-green, some containing red colors. Flower diameter is about 4 centimeters. Lateral sepals are linear-lanceolate, more than three times longer than the rear sepals, 3~5 centimeters, part of the outer edge is connected to each other. Petals contain some red color, about 0.6 centimeters long. Lip is tongue-shaped, length is less than 0.4 centimeters. The top of the gynostemium has a pair of small appendages. Flower life is 7 to 10 days. Flowering is from early summer to autumn. Easy to cultivate.
