Bulbophyllum burfordiense

Scientific name:Bulbophyllum burfordiense

The species name burfordiense means "Burford Lodge." An epiphytic orchid located in New Guinea island. Plant size is about 7~20 centimeters. Small species. Pseudo-bulbs are densely grown, the apex grows one leaf. Leaves are lanceolate, fleshy, and leathery. The blooming flower’s diameter is 6~9 centimeters, flowers are dark orange. Lip stretches to the front, petals curl backwards. Flower life is 10 to 14 days. Flowering period is from winter - spring, blooms twice or thrice per year. Prefers a hot and humid environment. It is easy to cultivate.
