The species name is named after Stanford. An autogenous epiphytic orchid found in Mexico to Venezuela of an altitude about 20 to 800 meters above the sea level. The stem’s upper part is oval, with about 3 to 4 leaves. The leaf is hard and leathery, about 20 centimeters long. The scape is arcuate and elongated, drawn from the bulb base, about 50 to 60 centimeters long, and some will branch out, with many densely-grown flowers. Mostly flowers open flatly, about 3 to 4 centimeters in diameter. The color of the flower has great variety, mostly yellowish-brown, and there are also pink or green flowers. It lives long, is fragrant, and is suitable for cutting. The flowering season is from winter to spring. The orchids live in moderate to high temperatures.
